Sometimes the drama between Idols SA judges is more interesting than the talent search competition. Not long ago, Somizi and Thembi Seete fooled Mzansi into thinking they were enemies when they fought on camera. Yet, the fight was staged and meant to hype the show. The Idols SA judges of season 18 are full of drama, and Mzansi loves it.
In the recent episode of Idols SA, the host of the show ProVerb asked the judges about their high school musical crushes and received exciting answers. First to answer was the “Woooo Shame” judge Somizi Mhlongo; responding to ProVerb, he said:
I was never in high school, but l I used to have a musical crush while I was young. Eyish I had too many crushes Lakas Makabeks, Chicco Twala and Dr Kumalo. Belive it or not l loved these mucial stars a lot.
Somizi’s reply left Idols SA audiences laughing hard and shocked by his taste. Bogopa also dropped a bomb when he revealed that Thembi Seete was his high school musical crush. Seete herself was surprised by Bogopa’s response, and she started blushing. Like she is co-working with someone who had a massive crush on her in high school.
I think Thembi Seete was my musical crush and also Aaliyah Dana Haughton who was an American singer
The crowd was puzzled and started shouting Thembi Seete’s name as they acknowledged that she was the queen whom Bogopa used to crush on. Did the crushing end in high school? Or a relationship may be on the cards for the Idols SA judges as they have been reunited.
ProVerb did not ask Bogopa JR if the intense feeling of romantic love for Thembi Seete ended or if he is still suppressing it. Seete is still on the market as she is not married; however, Bogopa JR recently popped the “Will You Marry Me” question to his long-time girlfriend, model Tshepi Vundla.
Thembi Seete also disclosed her high school celebrity crush.
My musical crush was Boys II Man. Haibo I used to love them unconditionally and l felt like thier songs were a dedication to me. I was so fortunate that I had an interview with one of the guys when he was in South Africa. It was like a dream come true
Mzansi was left puzzled after the judges revealed their high school celebrity crushes.
