Model and presenter K Naomi took to Instagram to share some of her traditional wedding pictures. As a Tswana woman getting married to a Zulu man, the first pictures were of a mixed wedding. After all, that was done, the focus shifted to her Zulu attire.
Tswana and IsiZulu outfits
The media personality wore a Seshweshwe dress with a matching headwrap for the first Tswana outfit. As a custom, her shoulders and upper body were covered with a blanket. She was sitting on a mat when her husband was sitting on a small chair beside her. Her husband was wearing pants and a leopard print vest. He had on a lot of Zulu pieces like umqhele and beaded jewellery. Her husband was also carrying a shield.
Gratitude for husband and marriage
In the caption, K Naomi shared words which indicate she is very proud of her husband. She wrote all his praise names for his Phakathi surname and changed her name to Mrs Phakathi. Her Instagram handles also changed from K Naomi to K Naomi Phakathi. The model also expressed how the wedding was truly magical and how it was everything she had ever imagined.
Some time ago, Naomi was super excited after her husband paid Lobola for her K. She tweeted “Ngishadile,” a very short tweet, but she got the point across that she is a wife now, which was a milestone for her.
Relationship goals overload
The couple was blessed with a gorgeous baby in December 2021. After three months, Mr Phakathi went to her home and paid lobola for the media personality. The couple flooded social media with their vacation snaps as if that was not enough romance. They travelled to many places like Spain, Italy and so many more.
The Phakathi served Mzansi with relationship goals overload. They had their white wedding first, and it looked like something straight out of a fairytale. Their wedding outfits were immaculate, and they shared tiny glimpses into their marriage. With Mzansi still admiring their white wedding content, the couple shared how they slayed their traditional wedding.
Next for the couple is a honeymoon. Knowing these two, they always go big and beyond. Their first vacation after the lobola negotiations was a month-long, and they can certainly go beyond that. Fans of the media personality congratulated her, and everyone agreed her wedding was one for the books.
