The acclaimed Showmax telenovelas eagerly awaited their return. The Wife was recently confirmed, along with the introduction of new cast members who will appear in the third and final season of the show. The third season of The Wife will feature several actors, including Sello Motloung, Bongo Maffin’s Stoan Seate, and Mo Setumo from the South African telenovela The Queen. The public has not been informed of the characters they will play.
But because they are all excellent actors, fans are eager to see what kind of energy they will bring. Season three of The Wife, inspired by Dudu Busani-best-selling Dube’s book Naledi His Love, will air in South Africa in November 2022.
Two star-crossed lovers will be at the centre of the explosive new season: Gaisang K Noge (House of Zwide) portrays the Tswana doctor Naledi Montsho and the Zulu taxi driver Qhawe, Kwenzo Ngcobo, who Twitter refers to as “the Woolworths of amadoda [men].”
With Naledi missing and the Zulu brothers’ crimes now front page news, the third and final season of The Wife will be explosive. This season, the show will branch out to include Royal Thabeng and the North West in addition to the Johannesburg taxi industry, where the stories of the new cast members will be revealed.” “The Zulu brothers may have finally met their match in Naledi’s family,” said Head Writer Busisiwe Ntintili in light of information that the lead, the show’s Hlomu, played by Mbalenhle Mavimbela, will leave.
Mavimbela will return this season, and Linda Majola will reprise her role as her brother Langa, according to Multichoice, including Khanyi Mbau and Mondli Makhoba, who play Zandile and Nkosana, the season two lead couple, as well as Zikhona Sodlaka, who plays Mandisa.
The role of Mqhele is the only alteration to The Wife this season because Bonko Khoza did not return for the third season, so it was recast. Khoza will be replaced by SAFTA winner Wiseman Mncube (Jama in eHostela), capping the list of fresh faces introduced to the show. The cause of Bonko’s abrupt departure from the show is still unknown. Moreover, he has not publicly addressed the problem.
He was a favourite, so many fans are disappointed that he won’t be coming back. His performance in this show even earned him a SAFTA. Sipho Ndlovu, SAFTA nominee Thulane Shange, and Swelihle Luthuli will all have more prominent roles this season as the Zulu brothers Sambulo, Mqoqi, and Ntsika, according to Showmax.
