Last night’s nail-biting episode was devastating for some viewers, while some rejoiced about the outcome. We all know that Alfred Magongwa emerged victorious as the new principal at Turf High and has been trending for the whole day on social media.
Skeem Saam viewers are split about the decision taken by the district, and some feel that Magongwa was the evident and right option for the role of Principal, while others think it’s the beginning of the end for Turfloop high.
Magongwa beat Manaka and Ma’am Maswahla fair and square.
Magongwa grew impatient as the day progressed, and when he had reached the boiling point, he decided to call DeSando, asking him to put him out of his misery.
The situation became seriously tense when DeSando decided to show up unannounced at the school and then call Manaka to the office. Manaka came out looking like he was celebrating. This sent Magongwa into overdrive and the viewers too.
DeSando delivered the shocking news to the staff, and the debate began immediately on social media.
Did the district make the right decision, or not?
Let’s look at the facts.
There are many reasons why Alfred shouldn’t have become Principal. He is power hungry, impulsive and acts on his emotions, and he is an unfair hypocrite who lies and distorts facts.
He manipulates students and sometimes goes as far as to incite violence to get the better of his opponent.
We know all of this about him; we have seen it.
So why did the district choose him?
1. Magongwa was next in line as the Deputy. That worked very much in his favour. He knows the ins and outs of that office.
2. He can handle pressure; I mean, if he managed to sit in the same office with Thobakgale for all those years, the man must be made of steel. Evelyn cracked in just a few months from Jacobeth.
3. He has already gone blind for Turfloop High, so he deserves a little break.
The announcement shocked many of his rivals, but mostly Jacobeth, whose jaw fell to the ground and remained there until the show ended.
The debate on social media about the school’s future has made Skeem Saam trend, and Mzansi is shocked.
Today Principal Magongwa will make announcements of his plans to the school. What are they going to be?
