Khutso Theledi was born on 23 March 1991 in Mpumalanga, South Africa. As of 2022, she is 31; one can never guess she is old as she looks young and dynamic, all thanks to her skin care lotions and workouts.
The radio jockey spent the early years of her life in Mpumalanga and later moved to Johannesburg in 2005 to complete her high school. Khutso’s father died when she was two years old, and being raised by a single mother taught her to be responsible at a young age.
While doing her primary and secondary education, Khutso was constantly mocked for her husky and deep voice. Little did she know that her hoarse voice would make her famous and rich, becoming one of Mzansi’s most sought-after radio personalities.
Khutso Thaledi’s voice and career
Thaledi left her studies at Monash University to join the Boston Media House after she was encouraged by her sister. At Boston Media House, she studied Radio and Sound Engineering, while in the first year of her studies, she was invited to do a demo for a breakfast show. She then scored a gig on Gauteng’s biggest youth radio station YFM in 2012.
Khutso Theledi was a host of YFM’s Krunch Time R&B hot 99 charts. She worked as a co-host for the breakfast show Flava Morning for two years. After hosting the show for two years, she joined The Freeways. She was a co-host of the drive-time show The Raw Rush alongside Thulisa Kanzi.
Theledi was on top trends after she ditched YFM to join Metro FM. Although she made some bosses’ moves by joining Metro FM, Khutso hopes to see herself on national radio and eventually on an international platform.
