South African singer Moneoa Moshesh shared a shocking Instagram story detailing how her ex-boyfriend Phila Maphanga allegedly used and abused her for five years.
Moneoa Moshesh was once one of the most popular entertainers in South Africa releasing hits like Isbanxa, a song that made Moneoa a household name.
The multi-talented songstress disappeared from the scene suddenly leaving most of her fans wondering what happened.
The hitmaker hinted at a toxic relationship that really ruined her life when she was visiting the breakfast show on Kaya FM with Sol Phenduka and Dineo Ranaka earlier this month.
Moneoa said that she would share more on this story in time, and that time came on Friday. The singer shared that her ex-fiancee Phiwe Maphanga beat her up and stole from her.
She spoke in detail of an event where she lost her BMW that she says Phiwe took with the intention of fixing it because it had a dent.
Moneoa says she hasn’t seen that car in over five years and instead he said he bought her a Range Rover as a gift but then she ended up paying for it together with the BMW that wasn’t in her possession anymore.
She spoke about an incident where Phiwe beat her up because she discovered that he was sharing inappropriate messages with another woman who was Asian and elderly. Moneoa detailed a shocking sequence where she alleges that Phiwe hit her so hard she blacked out and when she came to he had his hands on her neck, she says she ended up telling him that he was killing her.
Moshesh alleges that Phiwe told her to dump her recording label because he was going to put R450,000 into the promotion of her new album at the time called Ziph’inkomo, as it is right now Moneoa says that she cannot perform any of the songs from that album because the producers were not paid as a result she ended up being evicted from her house and Phiwe offers to put her expensive furniture in storage.
The singer says her furniture ended up getting auctioned because Phiwe hadn’t paid the storage fees for more than two months.
The news came as a shock to the entertainment industry and people have been sending messages of support and encouragement.
Moneoa shared pictures of her face covered in bruises, this comes after she shared a screenshot of what Moneoa says is a Facebook post from Phiwe’s mother that suggests that the tell-all is a smear campaign against Phiwe.
The musician captioned the post with a long response speaking about how she went to Phiwe’s mother asking her to talk to her son about his issues.
Moshesh shared some of the audio files from 2021 where she was allegedly speaking to Phiwe on her Instagram as well about some of the issues.
