Former Yizo Yizo Bobo’ Innocent Masuku has opened up about his road to recovery from substance abuse in a video he publicly shared. Innocent Masuku, aka Bobo, has finally opened up about his drug abuse after a long while of not being seen on television screens. After spending six weeks in a rehabilitation centre, he finally decided to break the silence and let people in on why they had not seen or heard from him for so long.
What has been said by Masuku?
The former actor opened up on how he was introduced to drugs by a friend in 2000 and how he has misused over R500 000 because of his drug addiction. Narrating his story, he also mentioned how he lost his luxurious house worth R2 million and cars. He went on to say how he used drugs during his acting career until things finally got out of control, and he lost many opportunities.
Innocent expressed how he feels like he is one of the few who survive drug abuse’s effects. He also wished young people could learn from his experience and not find themselves in a similar situation that he found himself in.
What has been the response from the public?
Paul Malia, an actor, shared an image he took several years alongside Innocent Masuku, recalling his work. He is hoping to see him on the small screens and theatre stages again showcasing his talent.
