Salaries Compared: Who earns more between Kwanda from Uzalo and Ntokozo in Gomora?
Similarities have been drawn on social media between Uzalo actor Sandile Mfusi who plays the role of Kwanda on the SABC 1 soapie, and Ntobeko Sishi, who portrays Ntokozo in Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora. The two creatives who captivate viewers and fans with their acting and singing skills have left soapie lovers wondering how much they rack in from their massive talents.
Salaries compared between Kwanda from Uzalo and Ntokozo in Gomora
In Gomora, Ntobeko plays the role of Ntokozo Dlamini, a teenager born to a strict father, Melusi Dlamini and Gladys, a social worker. In his upbringing, Ntokozo lived to fulfil over expectations of his father, who was the principal at Gomora High School. He was introduced to the crime world by her girlfriend Zanele Thwala, famously known as Mazet, and murdered a banker on their first car hijacking outing.
Over the Gomora storyline, despite coming from a well-up family, Ntokozo has encountered challenges bigger enough to confuse mature men, but he remained resilient.
The versatile entertainer, a songwriter, and a well-established South African artist boast natural acting talent. Despite having no formal academic training in acting, Ntobeko keeps smashing his Gomora role.
Though he is on the initial low-budget production, the rise in reviews and Gomora viewership brought revenue and higher salaries to the production team. Sishi earns an incredible R35 000 per month for playing Ntokozo Dlamini on Gomora.
Sandile Mfusi plays Kwanda on Uzalo
Being the most popular soapie in terms of viewership in the country comes with a lot of scrutiny, expectations, and money. On Uzalo, actor Sandile Mfusi plays the role of Kwanda, a young man with love interests in Nonka (Thuthuka Mthembu). Kwanda comes across as a shrewd and acute businessman in the business of retailing skin care products. Amid his booming skincare business, it was revealed that he is a drug dealer who sells his drugs disguised as skin products. Kwanda was a chemical engineering dropout student who used his academic knowledge to manufacture drugs.
Like his counterpart Ntobeko Sishi, Sandile Mfusi is an established Hip Hop artist popularly known as Masandi in the music circles. He rose to fame after joining a hip-hop outfit called Niche Fam, later launched a solo career, became a global hit, and shared the stage with famous American Hip Hop artists like Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Trey Songz.
