In the backdrop of Zandile and Kelly’s reunion years after a massive falling out, Zandile decided to speak her mind about the Senzo Meyiwa murder.
Zandile’s interview with eNCA aired on Monday evening; she sat down to tell her side of the sorry about that fateful night and other things.
Detailing through interrogation processes and incidents of personal items like cell phones being confiscated, Zandile still feels like the system is one-sided on this investigation.
The Senzo Meyiwa murder has taken its toll on everyone, and Khumalo had something to say about the Meyiwa family.
The musician was also on the scene when the 30-year-old Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo was gunned down in Kelly Khumalo‘s house in Vosloorus, East of Johannesburg.
Its time to investigate the Meyiwa family – Zandile
Kelly’s sister says that the law is fishing in one place, and there has been no result for eight years and that the time has come to explore other avenues.
She brings into question the decision of the system not ever to investigate Senzo’s wife Mandisa and Senzo’s mother.
Zandile says Senzo’s mother shared how against Senzo’s relationship with Kelly she was, that she took some measures, including using Muthi to make sure the union doesn’t happen.
Khumalo then says she wonders what other lengths Mrs Meyiwa and her daughter-in-law Mandisa would go to destroy the relationship.
“Isn’t it possible that maybe they sent out a hit, not necessarily on Senzo but on Kelly?”
Another detail she spoke about was that on the day of the shooting, she saw two men wearing balaclavas, and now there are five suspects on trial.

Khumalo insists that throughout the investigation, they have been cooperating with the police because they want justice as well.
All of this has caused social media to go on the rampage again.
The public claim that old wounds have been opened by this interview and that Zandile has not addressed the critical question, that is, why was the crime scene tempered with?
A few days ago, Advocate Malesela Teffo representing the four accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, withdrew from the case, saying the state is harassing him. The same Advocate was arrested in court a few months ago.
