Siv Ngesi is a comedian, an actor, a presenter and basically an all-rounder in the SA entertainment industry. The man has no limits to what he can deliver in terms of entertainment. Apart from the fact that he is appearing in international movies like the much anticipated The Woman King movie, he is a professional pole dancer.
The comedian has been sharing his pole dancing journey since he started chasing this extreme sport in 2020.
The man takes this sport so seriously that he has gone to competitions and won.
Ngesi won a gold medal in the SA Pole dancing competition in 2021 in the semi-professional men category.
“Took Gold at Pole Dancing Nationals (SA Pole Sports Federation) in the Semi-professional men category! Nine months in, and this sport continues to blow me away! #Poleposition’
His pole dancing career has attracted positive and negative attention from the public, and Sivs hasn’t ignored the negative comments coming his way.
Siv has repeatedly brought up the issues he experienced from people who have labelled him as abnormal.
He developed a drag character called Sivana in 2021.
Growing up in a household with a majority of females led by his strong, powerful mother, Siv has never been afraid to show off how much he respects femininity and developed the drag character because he has always been interested in the art.
Sivana is an opinionated, multilayered character with an unapologetic attitude.
As a way of rediscovering and unlearning some of the truths that he had been thought, he decided to challenge himself and learn more about sports that are regarded as feminine, that’s how he developed an interest in Pole dancing.
The man is an avid Rugby and Boxing lover as well.
Ngesi has talked about many men coming for his pole dancing and giving him all sorts of labels, and he wants all to know that he is not afraid to kick them behind.
Addressing the issue of his sexuality once, Siv said it is nobody’s business what his sexuality is and that because the question has now been out there about him.
Ngesi made one thing very clear as well.
” I will never in my life answer anyone who asks about my sexuality if they make the other side negative, and to answer your question, no, I am fabulous enough.”
An actor is busy as he is getting us ready to watch him on The Woman King, where he will be gracing our screen alongside greats like Viola Davis and Thuso Mbedu.
