In Pictures: Best and Worst dressed celebrities at the DSTV Mzanzi Viewers’ Choice awards.
When Mzansi celebrities find an excuse to party, they come out in their glitz and glamour. From the elite’s birthday parties to the usual award shows that show off their talents in the industry. This was the case last night at the DSTV Mzansi viewers’ choice award ceremony. The lot came out looking good to be honoured for their craft. In as much as most were beautifully dressed, a few had their share of misses too.
Usually, when someone tries too much, they either end up flopping or rocking it. Celebrities have their own styling teams and makeup crews that ensure they go out looking their best. However, some of the styling teams led fans to believe they deserve to be fired after last night. Here we look at celebrities who rocked the red carpet and those who flopped with their choices.

The ladies are known to love their sparkly dresses and killer-heeled shoes, and many came representing. Some of the best dressed included Thando Thabethe, Connie Ferguson, Gaisang Noge and many more I will mention in the article. Thando Thabethe looked sexy in a black gown that showed off her legs in a long slit. Gaisang Noge, who will be the star of The Wife’s third season, was in a pearly gown with a sexy slit as well.

The real housewives of Capetown brought glamour to the red carpet in beautiful and colourful gowns. Makhadzi’s dress impressed many people as they hardly saw her in the regal ballgowns. The presenters, Hope Mbhele and Lawrence Maleka, did not disappoint as they looked dapper in their outfits. Abdul Khoza and fellow The wife cast member Kwenzo Ngcobo reminded ladies why they are heartthrobs in beautiful suits.
However, despite many celebrities looking great, some did not get the memo. Reality TV star Somizi Mhlongo is one of them, which is a shock to many. The entertainer is known for his style in the entertainment circles. However, he came rocking boots and a dress that had leather tights. His outfit looked like an outfit that men wore in regal times with a camouflage train, and it didn’t look good. His daughter Bahumi Mhlongo’s outfit also disappointed fans as she wore what looked like a blazer with a train.
To the shock of many former Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi joined this list. The model wore a white dress with black designs on the chest and hands. Many tweeps said her styling team deserves to be fired after yesterday. Unmarried actress Mapula Mafole took the simple route with a black dress and black boots. She looked good, but her fans said the look was not for such a prestigious event.
