No doubt, he has thrust African coaches into worldwide debates on the best coaches. Pitso Mosimane is a celebrated South African coach who seems to have won it all in Africa in his illustrious career as a local coach.
He made all sorts of headlines from his footballing to a coaching career, and it seems he is not holding back. Despite his managerial success, he has also managed to hog headlines with his stunning net worth, which leaves a lot to be desired.

Pitso John Hamilton Mosimane was born in Kagiso, Gauteng, South Africa, on 26 July 1964. Currently, he is conquering African club football as Al Ahly’s coach. He holds a UEFA Pro Licence like any other big coach before him. His type of play and big wins has seen him being likened to the Spanish celebrated coach Pep Guardiola credited for revolutionising football to tik-taka.

He kicked off his footballing career with Josmo Cosmos, then went on to play for Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. However, he also had a stint abroad that was marked with appearances in A-Saad (Qatar), Ionikos (Greece) and KFC Rita Berlaar (Belgium) before hanging his boots in 1996.

Coaching Career
He started his coaching career with KFC Rita Berlaar as he was in charge of the under-11 team.
Supersport United 2001-2007
He won two trophies with Supersport, thus the South African Airways Super8 and Nedbank Cup in 2004 and 2005. In the mix of things, he was awarded the PSL Coach Of the year award in 2005.
Bafana Bafana 2006-2012

Pitso was appointed as Bafana Bafana’s assistant during the 2006-2010 stint. However, despite serving as Bafana’s assistant during the World Cup, he was later given the charge of the national team in July 2010. Things went south after he failed to lead the team to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mamelodi Sundowns 2012-2020
He was appointed as Sundown’s coach in December 2012. However, his eight-year stint saw him going down in South African football history books after winning 11 trophies at the club.

Pitso saw himself becoming the first non-Egyptian African to manage Al Ahly. He has been winning big with the African giants.
