They were supposed to perform on the 30th of April 2022, but after not showing up, the management was told that Kabza De Small and Maphorisa had eight gigs they were booked for that Sunday. The DJ pair posted videos of quad biking when their fans were waiting for them at the carnival. Shasha is still to respond to the statement, but fans will only have to speculate, given that Instagram is not active.
This news has been met with mixed reactions from fans, but most of them are negative. Some Tweeps say they are not surprised that Maphorisa did not honour his booking as he is famous for that. Others say that artists should not complain after they stop getting gigs after letting down clients like this. Most of them have complained about not being booked since the Covid pandemic hit the world. Not honouring the bookings they get on an international platform has infuriated many South Africans.
