Video: Watch how Antelopes managed to escape a Wild dogs attack at the edge of a sharp cliff
It is always a game of death in the jungle, and this time, Antelopes managed to escape a severe attack from a hungry wild dog family. It is a daily task for Wild dogs to feast on Antelopes while the Antelopes can not have a free graze without looking out for the Wild dogs.
Below we have a video where Antelopes managed to salvage themselves out of the Wild dogs’ mouth; thanks to a cliff, they managed to hang on.
Antelopes survived the Wild dogs’ attack at the edge of a cliff.
Whenever the Antelope family goes to the bushy and rocky areas, they expose themselves to the hungry wild dogs. In a video below, a family of three Antelopes found itself surrounded by more than ten hungry wild dogs. Should they have stayed in the grassy wetlands, maybe they would have seen the Wild dogs from a distance. Indeed, they could not outrun the wild dogs in such a considerable number. Instead, they managed to reach the sharp cliff before they got eaten.
The Antelope family consisted of two grown-ups and one small one. The attack came when they came for a rest in the rocky areas from the grazing lands. One wild dog almost managed to reach the older Antelope, but she managed to salvage her life.
Antelope and Wild dogs’ behaviour
Antelopes are known for staying as a large herd. They travel together, which gives them an urge of awareness to anticipate attacks from the hungry carnivores. They can also be found in smaller packs like the one in the video during the summer when they are not travelling.
Just like the Antelopes, the Wild dogs also prefer to hunt as a group to increase their chances of catching a meal. They hunt together, and they eat together; what a united family. On difficult days, they feast on lions’ leftovers.
