American Rapper Rick Ross sends shoutouts to Mzansi artists, offers to sign two rappers in six months
He loves Africa, and he has been visiting the continent more often than any other international celeb. Like always, Rick Ross spent his Easter weekend in Africa, and this time around was in Angola.
He shared a series of videos of his experience. Of interest, he was giving out money and some love to the villagers in the remote areas of Angola. Apart from his visit to Angola, he also performed in Nigeria’s capital Lagos.
He has been heavily involved in putting several African musicians in the international limelight. In 2018, he featured South African superstar Kwesta and even came to South Africa to shoot the video in Katlehong, Johannesburg.

He wowed the world when he shared a series of pictures with Kwesta’s grandmother in the township. He showered praises to the continent and shocked many when he revealed that he would be coming back soon.

In Africa, Rick Ross took time to shower some praises on all the heavy hitters in the Rap game in South Africa. He mentioned Da LES, Priddy Ugly, Musa Keys, Uncle Waffles, Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest and Kwesta, to mention a few.
Rick Ross is not only trying to send shout-outs but also promised life-changing record label signings. The award-winning musician went ont to indicate that he is looking to sign two artists within six months. He revealed that he is expanding his record label Maybach Music Group (MMG), to Africa.
He is looking for artists that people on the ground recommend for this milestone. Ross put out a call for the brand ambassadors for these artists, saying their time to showcase their talent in the international market.
He invited them to acknowledge that being exposed in America for the Rap artists is where it is at
Ross is not the only one acknowledging SA music artists. Drake sent a shout out to Uncle Waffles on his social media a few days ago.
