Zola 7 has recently been thrust back into the spotlight. After videos and pictures of him looking frail and broken found themselves circulating the internet, everyone in the entertainment industry has been campaigning to land a helping hand.
Zola 7 has found himself being the topic of interest all over the country. Another person who found themselves interested in Zola7 is famous sculptor and artist Lungelo Gumede. Lungelo Gumede has built an excellent name for himself as one of the most respected sculptors in the country.

He has made statues of high-profile people like Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson and legendary soccer stars like Pele. The unveiling of the Zola 7 statue happened on Tuesday to a packed house, and Zola 7 also blessed the event. Zola7 stood next to the statue, and the resemblance is shocking. Dr Lungelo has been sharing the process from creating the statue to showing off the final product.
Lungelo was embroiled in a controversial incident involving a statue he made of the late rapper Ricky Rick a few months ago. He received criticism from Rick’s family, as they accused him of doing so without their consent. The whole thing then spiralled out of control, and it ended with Dr Lungelo having to take down the statue and destroy it.

Dr Lungelo said that everyone wants a piece of the Zola 7 statue. He called the unveiling event hectic in a good way.
“Yohhh the unveiling of Zola7 Wax statue was hectic…not in a bad way but everybody wanted to be a part of it…that U understand but still”
Zola 7, whose real name is Bonginkosi Dlamini, is a crowd puller; he is considered a national treasure by many South Africans. He helped during his days as a presenter for his show, which gave people opportunities to expose their talents. Zola 7 looked very happy to have a statue erected in his honour; members of the press and fans surrounded him. His sister couldn’t hold back her tears when she saw his statue; she couldn’t believe it resembled him.
