Watch, Former Isibaya actor ‘Sunday Nkabinde’ Zakhele msibi joins The Wife.
Zakhele Msibi was seen in the trailer of The Wife season 2, episodes 19 to 21. Fans of the actor who played a villain that many would love to hate in Isibaya were excited to see Zakhele back on-screen. The Wife takes a more exciting turn in the following episodes as Zakhele Msibi joins the cast of the beloved Showmax show.
Zakhele Msibi will take on the role of Zandile’s father in The Wife. The actor is making his debut appearance this Thursday, and fans can not wait. Three weeks ago, Zakhele posted a picture on his Instagram with Khanyi Mbau, and he captioned it, Father and daughter. Many of his fans said they made an excellent combination for television.

The Wife’s second season follows the love story of Nkosana and Zandile. In last week’s episodes, we saw Nkosana confronting Zandile on why she slapped Hlomu, leading Zandile to move out with her kids. Zandile and Mandisa feel that the Zulu brothers play favourites, with Hlomu being the favourite Wife. However, in the trailer for the next episodes, Nkosana s trying to win his family back by proposing to Zandile, when her father appears.
Where had Zakhele Msibi disappeared to after Isibaya?
After Isibaya was cancelled, like many other actors on that set Zakhele found himself out of a job on-screen. However, in 2020 a death hoax rocked Mzansi that the actor had passed on. This rumour which started on Facebook, was put to rest by the actor himself. However, addressing the hoax to his fans, Msibi let the world know that he worked behind the scenes as a director. He claimed to be working on three feature films and promised his fans that they would see him on-screen soon.
Earlier this year, to many fans’ delight, Zakhele appeared in a Valentines’ movie called Welcome to the family. He got to work with fellow actresses Deli Malinga, Nolo Seabi, and Linda Sebezo. The former Isibaya actor has also worked as an MC and speaker at events he is invited to.
