Kabelo Motha, known mainly by his stage name Kabza De Small, beat up a fan in Botswana. At this point, nobody knows what happened to make Kabza behave this way. However, looking at the video, we can tell the Abalele hitmaker was heated and angry. He stopped playing his set, removed his headphones and went to the guy. Luckily, matters didn’t escalate to a worse scenario as some bodyguards came and separated Kabza and the fan. Who the bodyguards belong to is still a mystery.
During his set, there seemed to be an argument between the MC of the event and another fan. Moments later, Kabza looked at a fan on the front row for a small while. Although the video of the incident was taken from afar, his facial expression was annoyed. From a distance, one can tell the fan was saying something to Kabza. Kabza tried to ignore whatever was going on, but he couldn’t. Initially, he attempted to remove his headphones but resisted the urge. Seconds from that, he lost his cool, removed them and walked straight towards the fan. Kabza attacked, but the guards separated them. We don’t know what happened next.
Previous physical attack allegation
In August of 2021, a forex trader named Stylist Keys alleged that Kabza and his bodyguards assaulted him. He also claimed that Kabza and his guards damaged his expensive perfume collection, which was with him at the time. Keys also said the king of amapiano and his guards left him bruised. Kabza didn’t respond to the allegations. From the media, nobody reported any charges laid against Kabza.
Response from Kabza
Silence is golden. If he talks, the issue will blow up across all media spaces, and if he is silent, the story will die out eventually. Kabza hasn’t released a public statement or an apology. On his social, he keeps posting content of his thriving career. People are jamming to his songs during his live sets, and people who are listening to his music. Perhaps that is the best way to avoid this whole thing.
Cool and calm demeanour
Kabza is not a loud celebrity. He has a calm demeanour even when he’s playing his sets. He’s rarely ever in the news for negativity and public messes, so perhaps his character was just pushed to that point. Be that as it may, he had no right to assault a fan. Maybe asking the guards to remove the man from the venue would’ve been a better option as a role model.
