An American TikTok User trolled the Netflix reality show Young, Famous and African. She called the wigs worn on the show the worst wigs she’s ever seen in her entire life. She trolled them all and called them very traumatic to see. She also compared how much of a step up the show is to Love and Hip Hop but was not impressed with the wigs.
Mzansi caught the attention of the woman’s TikTok, and as bitter the truth was, most people agreed with her. Mzansi expressed how Khanyi Mbau disappointed them as she’s usually stylish, but she’s wearing weird wigs on the show. Some social media users agreed that Bonang Matheba is the only South African woman with good wigs. People went as far as saying Mzansi wouldn’t be trolled if Bonang was on the show.
Khanyi Mbau Wigs
She took jabs at all of Khanyi Mbau’s wigs, chopping them with criticism. On the show, we see Khanyi wearing a short bob blonde wig so far. A lace front blue wig with three shades. The lady alleged that Khanyi bought the wig and cut it with a pair of scissors herself on the short blonde wig. For the blue wig, the lady joked about how out of place it was also how curly it was. Khanyi’s blue wig has a lot of stray hairs, and it looks so old. Mostly, people’s bob wigs have a straight line at the bottom. Khanyi’s wig looks cut with a razor at the back and sides.
Nadia Nakai Wigs
Nadia Nakai’s bone straight weave also has a lot of drama, especially at the front. She took jabs at how the wig looked a tad too wet, and it shouldn’t be that way. There was too much space on the closure part of the wig, and the hair was dried.
Other cast members
She noted that one of the cast members looked terrific with her natural hair. When she wore the wig, she looked way too different. Her wig has zero parting, meaning there was too much saturation of hair. Another down factor is that the wig is made of synthetic hair strands.
Their respective departments with such shows usually handle the makeup and hair aspects. Now that the episodes are out on Netflix, there is no turning back, and they can’t go back and redo their hairstyles. Khanyi is trending as an image mishap like this is very unlike her. She hasn’t responded to any of the trolls.
