Blood and Water actress ‘Thandeka’ Gail Mabalane ventures into the haircare business
Gail Mabalane has been in the entertainment industry for years now as an actress. The actress, famous for her natural short hair, has expanded her business empire with a hair business. Gail has started a range of products that help people take care of their hair.
Taking to Instagram, Gail Mabalane announced that after two years of researching the hair products and testing, she is announcing the launch of Ethnogenics. The hair care line was inspired by her hair loss journey and the women who reached out to her to share their experiences.
Ethnogenics will comprise products like hair shampoo, hair growth supplements, scalp lotion and hydrating moisturiser, only a few of the products. Clicks in South Africa exclusively distribute the line. Gail’s products were formulated using Shea butter, Biotin and Eucalyptus. All these natural ingredients are known for their properties to help grow hair and protect the scalp.
Gail Mabalane launches haircare business with Danny K
Mabalane will partner with Danny K also on the products. The South African musician took to his Instagram account to post his new partnership with the actress. He went on to say that the line will transform natural hair in the country and goes on to call Ethnogenics the most comprehensive and effective hair product range in the country.
In 2019 Gail decided to go bald after she was diagnosed with alopecia. This medical condition causes hair loss, and the actress lost chunks of hair because of it. However, she started embracing her short hair and had made a documentary to inspire other people who may be in similar situations. This journey inspired her to start her hair care line. Many of her fans celebrate her in turning one of the most trying times in her life into a victory.
