South African media personality Sizwe Dhlomo is defending rapper AKA amid talks on how the rapper took an L with the Reebok SneAKA deal saying AKA is just an appalling business person.
AKA exposed how Reebok reportedly defaulted in paying any money and royalties for the partnership on the personalized sneaker.
It was however, discussed on what a huge moemish was the move by AKA but Sizwe was quick to defend the rapper.
Sizwe Dhlomo was quick to defend AKA when one tweep called the rapper a fraudster.
The media personality who is also an entrepreneur said AKA was a remarkable singer but acknowledged that the rapper might have done far better in handing his earnings appropriately.
“He is not a fraudster, he is one of the most talented musicians South Africa has ever seen but he is an awful business person and his story regarding his career, earnings and what is due to him is tragic,” Sizwe said on his Twitter account.
“The one deal is what you know. I am talking about what I know. Well there is no business we can do together but I have got love for the dude and where I could, I have always advised him. He knows my door is always open. Just like anyone else. Exactly! Never be desperate,” Sizwe Dhlomo added.
The AKA sneAKA story gave way to a discussion on how the showbiz industry was not favourable to artists trying to make ends meet.
The discussion was divided with some saying the rapper ought to have known and done better while others wondered whether it was a publicity stunt.
In the meantime, another rapper, Mufasa has been filling his Twitter account with retweets of tweets he seemed to ne endorsing as far as the sneAKA goes.
The rapper did not directly say anything about AKA, but his Twitter account surely did.
