He has been dupped as the most celebrated villain on-screen, and he continues to wow Mzansi with his unmatched flair. Mduduzi Mabaso is a celebrated South African actor best known for his on-screen character of Suffocate Ndlovu on the now canned etvs drama series Rythm City.
However, in the wake of his exit from Rythm City, he joined the Mzansi Magic drama series DiepCity. In the drama series, he stars as Mgedeza.
Of interest is the fact that he stars alongside some of Mzansi’s finest, the likes of Dawn Thandeka King, who plays the role of Mashenge.
Of late, his storyline is trending after Maureen opens up that he has been raising someone who is not his child. The storyline has sparked a dialogue that Mzansi has already weighed in in the mix of things.

Taking to the media, Mduduzi has it that playing the Mgedeza is not easy as the character is very emotional and challenging because several men across the globe are facing the same predicament, especially infertility. Speaking to the Daily Sun, he revealed that:
“The story is a reflection of our society and directly talks to gender-based violence. When I was presented with this storyline, I felt these were conversations we should be having.”
He went on to open up about his storyline being a real-life situation to several people out there.
