Ghana coronavirus positive factory worker infects other 533 workers at the fish factory facility. Ghana’s President Naka Akufo- Addo reveals that the outbreak happened at a fish processing factory in the city of Tema.
Local health authorities reported the outbreak at a fish-processing factory in Ghana’s Atlantic seafront city of Tema. Details to the occurrence of events were not provided.
The President reveals that one person is responsible for the increase in COVID-19 cases which is 11.3% of Ghana’s total infections.

“All 533 persons were infected by one person,” President Akufo-Addo said. He did not provide details of how the disease spread in the facility or if safety measures had been in place.
The new infections pushed Ghana’s positive cases to 4 700, the highest number of infections in West Africa. 22 people succumbed to the virus and 494 recovered in Ghana.

The world total infections stands at 4,233,997 positive cases Coronavirus Cases, 285,899 Deaths and 1,518,111 Recovered. Africa alone stands at 66,953 cases, 2,330 deaths and 23,636 recoveries.
With 160 501 tests since the outbreak, Akufo-Addo said Ghana had carried out more tests per million people than any other country in Africa.
Public gatherings remained banned in Ghana, while lockdown regulations are lifted in two cities Accra and Kumasi.
