Gift Mokhampanyane has taken Muvhango over by storm since the day he made his debut appearance on the show. The actor who has left an elderly VhoMukondoleli in a lot of trouble seems nowhere to be found in times of trouble. Gift Mokhampanyane’s age has gotten many South Africans raising their eyebrows in surprise.
A few days ago, Gift debuted his character Spencer of Spitjo on Muvhango. He made a grand entrance and struck an unlikely friendship with Mukondoleli, who had just moved to Johannesburg due to boredom back in Venda. After Mulalo had taken Luruli and moved to Tanzania with his new girlfriend, Mukondoleli finds out that nothing entertains her anymore in Thohoyandou. Because of this, she asks Vho-Hangwani to take her with them.
Spencer, or Spitjo, as he is known, roped in Mukondoleli with his lies of a soapie story of his grandmother and how the older woman raised him. However, after the older granny had fed him for free, he left behind his bag full of drugs. The police find the older woman in possession of the drugs and arrest her, thinking she is in cahoots with the young man.
Muvhango actor ‘Spitjo’ Gift Mokhampanyane’s acting career
Before his role in Muvhango, Gift mainly was known for his role in Skeem Saam as Fanie Maserumula. That role is the one he is primarily known for, even after a few years off the SABC 1 show. Before that, he was part of the cast of Sokhulu and partners playing Tsepo Moloi. His debut on-screen role as an actor was on Soul Buddyz, bringing the character of Sipho in 2015. This was all after working as a presenter on Yotv on SABC in 2011.
The actor has a petite body and can easily be mistaken for a teenager at first look. However, the actor was born on the 16th of April 1988, making him 33years old. This fact has been found hard to believe by many viewers because the actor looks like he can slay a role of a High School student and even get away with it.
