TK Sebothoma is a household name in the entertainment industry because of his talent and skill. He may not have chosen acting as his first choice of a career path, but destiny wouldn’t have any of it. He was thrust into the fictional world of entertainment, and he has not regretted pursuing this career path from that time. The actor has become famous for his recurring role in Ferguson Films’ The Queen as Jomo. He has found himself making headlines once again as TK Sebothoma is set to play lead role in a Zimbabwean movie.
Tokollo Sebothoma, best known as TK, has taken to his Instagram to announce that he has landed a role in a Zimbabwean movie. The actor specifies that he has been in Harare, Zimbabwe shooting for this movie called Just Say Hello. TK says it has been a blessing and a fantastic experience shooting the film alongside other Zimbabwean actors.
The movie will be released in April and is still in production. The movie’s genre is a Romantic Comedy, and the cast is a star-studded one. The cast includes Zimbabwean songstress Ammara Brown who plays Melissa in the film. Chi Mhende also joins this cast playing the role of Sonya. The other actors are Tendaishe Chitima, Shaun Munda and Carl Joshua Ncube. The storyline of the movie is yet to be announced. Invision Studios produces the romantic film, and it is best known for the Showmax feature film called Accidental Small house.
Tokollo ‘TK’ Sebothoma’s education and acting career
Not much is known about TK Sebothoma’s family except that his parents have always been his biggest support system. He grew up loving sports, especially basketball; however, it was only when one of his tutors invited him to be a character in his drama club. That’s when he realized that he loved acting and pursued it as a career. That’s when he joined AFDA, where he graduated with a degree in live performance.
TK’s debut role in acting happened when he was in his final year at school, and he landed the role of Zolani in MTV Shuga. The same year, he landed the most significant role of his career as Jomo in The Queen. He was also part of Isithembiso, Isono, The Republic and The River. His recent role has been on Netflix’s Kings of Joburg, where he takes on the role of Tlotlo Masire.
