Nkao Tempela is an amapiano track that took the country over by storm. Three new artists sing it on the music scene, which goes by Ch’cco, Mellow and Sleazy. It’s a hit, the song is playlisted on the majority of the South African radio stations, and it’s topping charts.
Nkao Tempela Dance challenge
Nkao tampela has a specific dance done by first standing upright, moving one hand from the chest to the hip rhythm, whilst moving the upper body in vertical leaning motions. Ever since the Nkao Tempela challenge came out, social media has been buzzing with participants, and the numbers keep escalating, with more and more people joining daily.
Muvhango actresses doing the Nkao Tempela challenge
Imani, Gugu and Marang took the video doing the challenge in the make-up and dressing rooms of the show Muvhango. These three weren’t quite doing it right. However, their challenge is goofy and funny to watch. They were having fun with it and laughed at themselves whilst filming.
It’s refreshing to see them let their hair down and have fun like this. Also, seeing the relationship, they have off-camera as colleagues are great, seeing how their characters seem to have some conflicts between them.

Singer and Real Housewives of Durban cast member Londie London did the challenge with her friends in a restaurant. Musicians Tabsie and Moozlie Mabhena did the challenge on a boat cruise ride. Nelisiwe Sibiya from Durban Gen also partakes in the show’s dressing rooms. LaSizwe Dambuza did the challenge walking out of a store. Presenter Anele Zondo did the challenge with her friend outside a resort. DJ Uncle Waffles did it more than once, at home and the club.
