She is older: Skeem Saam Actress Khwezi ‘Samukele Mkhize’s age and salary stuns Mzansi
She has the plug and the bling too. She is that star actress hate to love. Since her debut last, she has wowed Mzansi with her unmatched talent.
Samukele Mkhize is a celebrated South African actress best known for her unmatched talent on the now canned Mzansi Magic’s drama series Isibay. In Isibaya she starred as Mabuyi. However, in the wake of her exit, she has been winning big. Currently, she is nailing the onscreen character of Khwezi on SABC’s drama series Skeem Saam.
She stars as a cunning and ruthless girlfriend of Lehasa, who happens to be an ambitious thug in a suit. Of late, she has been trending after she held hostage of Pretty, who happens to be Lehasa’s ex-girlfriend. Khwezi connected the dots and figured out that Pretty was indeed not pregnant.
We can all agree Pretty has been faking her pregnancy after she aborted it because she didn’t know who the father was but was convinced that it was Lehasa. She even forced Pretty to make false statements on records. No doubt we cant wait to see the drama unfold, capped with thrills and secrets.
Like those before her, Samukele shot to fame in small screens came in the backdrop of theatre plays. Her thrust into the limelight came when cast into Madame President Musical.

However, in the wake of her newfound fame failed to join the cast of The Road after failing to impress the showrunners. Despite being dropped out, she later got the shock of her life when Bomb Productions offered her a role on Isibaya.
Fortune favours the bold she later joined Skeem Saam as Khwezi. In Skeem Saam, viewers don’t approve of her affair with Lehasa. Viewers agree that she is only dating Lehasa to cover her real intentions. Unlike Pretty and Nothile, she seems to be more interested in Mavimbelas. It appears as if she wants to find her way back to Nothile’s father.
Of late, Mzansi has wondered how much the actress racks from her Khwezi onscreen character in a month. Sources have it that the bubbly actress is paid between R30 000-R40 000 per month. However, one should note that actors’ salaries are determined by role prominence, time onscreen and experience.
Her age has been implicated in the mix of things. The actress was born on 3 March 1988 in KwaZulu Natal. She is older than we thought. We can all agree that the showrunners played us when it comes to her age against her onscreen character.
