Sibongokuhle Nkosi’s age has been a topic on everyone else’s lips as she is younger than she looks. Since she made her on-screen debut in Durban Gen as the sassy and opinionated paramedic who works with Macgyver, Sibongokuhle has been slaying her role. The actress had always known at a young age that her place was infront of the camera as an actress, and she made sure she pursued that career from the onset.
After High School at Lady Smith High School, Sibongokuhle furthered her studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She recently graduated with a degree in Drama performance. Before she got her big break on Television, she had her first acting gig in theatre in a musical play called Music in the air, which was shown at the Durban Playhouse.
Sibongokuhle Nkosi’s first big break in the Television industry came with her role on Durban Gen. She takes on the character of Thembinator, a gay woman who is good friends with Calvin and Macgyver. Besides always rolling around with the boys working and having fun, she is also Gogo Xaba’s granddaughter and is worried the community will attack her grandmother when she can’t protect her while she is at work.

She has recently joined the most-watched soapie in South Africa, Uzalo as Ndoni. In the soapie Ndoni is Nkunzi’s love interest whose life is in danger. The actress joined the drama series when Gabisile refused Nkunzi’s sexual advances towards her. Ndoni comes in as a woman from Nkunzi’s past who will make Gabisile restless with her intimate closeness to Nkunzi.
Besides acting, Sibongokuhle is also a model, and before all these acting gigs were falling on her lap, the actress was competing as a model in Durban. She competed for Miss KZN Queen for the year and only made it to the finals but did not manage to win the crown. Just by looking at the actress’s roles, the viewers may think that she is in her late twenties. However, the model and actress is a 22 year old fresh out of college who plays mature woman roles.
