Actress Leera Mthethwa plays the role of Mrs Jackie Hlungwani on the Mzansi Magic soap opera Gomora. Onscreen, Mrs Hlungani is a teacher at Gomora High School; who has a close work relationship with Principal Melusi Dlamini – the role played by Zolisa Xaluva. Mrs Jackie Hlungwani has a no-nonsense character; she calls rogue students and parents to order.

The actress is living and slaying her childhood dream; she has always wanted to be a performer since an early age. She is inspired by the late musician Brenda Fassie and always wanted to follow in her footsteps.
