Fundiswa Zwane was born and grew up in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu Natal. When she was in school, she discovered her love for dancing and joined the gumboot dance group. She was part of the group until she matriculated from High School. She enrolled on a film school after High School, which was the beginning of her career as a paid performer. Her big break came whilst Fundiswa was still in her third year when she landed her first television role.
Fundiswa Zwane’s big break came in 2009 when she landed a role in Generations. Her role in the SABC 1 soapie made her a household name all over South Africa. in 2011, she bagged a role in Divers Down, a SABC 1 drama series. In the same year, she created the sitcom; It’s for life, together with Gugu and Thuli Zuma. Even though the sitcom ran for three months, she gained massive popularity.

In 2015 she had a guest role in the second season of Traffic. After that, she was cast as Kamadonsela in etv’s Imbewu-The seed before she was let go and replaced by Brenda Mhlongo. After her exit from Imbewu, she got a role in Skeem Saam as Nandi Ntuli in July 2021.
The actress also doubles up as a businesswoman with her own company. In 2020 she started her fragrance line called Camagu by Fundi Zwane. Fundi told the public that the line caters for both sexes and that market research had been conducted intensively before she created the scents. The range has two scents called Camagu Femme and Camagu Oud. She is also working on a body care range that will include creams for the whole body and hair care products.
