His rise to fame was as swift as his success in the acting industry. Godfather from Uzalo joins Durban Gen together with his twin brother, Lizwe. The best things indeed come in pairs. This duo has been on our screens before, and they are not newbies in the industry.
Durban Gen’s official Instagram page has announced that they will be adding Sizwe and Lizwe Khumbuza to their cast. They had pictures of the pair in the hospital in a post, and they added a caption that all good things come in pairs. They tagged the actors in the post. Fans who had seen the duo’s talent before showed a lot of excitement on this news.
One-half of the twins is best known for his role on SABC 1’s Uzalo. He played the role of Godfather Khanyile. On Uzalo, his character was a vengeful man who wanted revenge for his father’s death. He fell in love in the process of trying to plan his father’s revenge. He had a brother called Thulani; a role played by former Durban Gen actor Thulane Shange. However, he was later killed by Nkunzi, and that’s how he left the show.
Sizwe and Lizwe Khumbuza join Durban Gen
After leaving Uzalo, Sizwe landed another role which was the total opposite of his role on Uzalo. In this role, he landed together with Lizwe, his identical twin brother. They were cast as a Pastor’s children on the series Amazing Grace, which aired on SABC 1. The actor took his exit from Uzalo as a sign for opening more doors in his career, and he says it was a blessing in disguise.

Lizwe and Sizwe Khumbuza love working together because they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Their Instagram accounts are well decorated with pictures of both of them, and one can almost say they are inseparable. They have been acting together for a while now doing advertisements and in Mzansi Bioskop. Acting and modelling is something that the pair grew up wanting to do. With their looks and talent, they might as well go far.
