Meikie Maputla was sentenced to life in jail. We might send goodbyes to our beloved character Meikie on Skeem Saam. The judge realized that she would be convicted on the 3rd of December 2021 for attempted murder. Harriet Manamela, who is better known as Meikie, will get a life sentence in jail.
For those who do not know what was happening in the past episode of Skeem Saam, Meike tried to kill Kwaito Maputla ( Clement Maosa) and his mother Mantuli ( Diketseng Mnisi). Meikie learned that her husband, John Maputla had a relationship with Mantuli in the past, and their secret relationship ended when mantuli conceived Kwaito. When Meikie learned the truth that her best friend betrayed him, she lost her temper and wanted to kill them.
This was not the first time Meikie Maputla had done something like this. January 2020, she was almost arrested for shooting and killing Tumishang (Mothosi Mogano). The police did not stop her because they believed it was self-defence. After all, her family was held at gunpoint. The fact that her husband fears her now as he believes that she is dangerous. Even fans find it hard to believe that she turned into a psycho because of anger.
Leeto seems like she will follow her mother in prison. She is doing all these corrupted things the same way her mother did them, and he is not scared that he might lose his whole career because of it. Leeto and her mother have a strong bond as they plan a conspiracy to get her out of prison. In contrast, Maputla wants nothing to do with all that criminal activity. He wants his wife to be arrested so that he can not live in fear anymore.
Some viewers wish for Meikie to win the case and gate away with it. But that will not happen now as he is going to be sentenced soon. Leeto has become more selfish and corrupted, just like his own mother. Leeto is busy plotting a plan to make her mother escape prison, and he is planning on doing that by finding her lookalike, which they already have. They only want Maputla to agree with this so that the plan can continue.
After Meikie’ arrest, John would grow his relationship with his son( Kwaito). He could not do it in front of his wife, and once Meikie is gone, their relationship will grow without any fear.
