SIX more people have been reportedly tested positive for COVID 19 at Harare Hospitals maternity ward.
This bring the total number of the people tested positive of coronavirus to 40 after 6 were tested positive in Harare and 2 in Bulawayo adding to the previous 32 cases that were recorded positive.
It is reported that the six who have tested positive at Harare Hospital’s maternity include 2 patients, 3 nurses and 1 doctor, and all are symptomatic.
Prominent journalist Edmund Kudzai broke the ice and wrote on his Twitter account:
“Six people at Harare hospital have tested positive for COVID 19. The infections were discovered at the maternity hospital purely by chance during a swab testing training where patients and workers were all routinely rested. Breakdown: Two patients, one doctor and three nurses.”
The Ministry of Health is yet to give full details about the cases in Harare.
