Entrepreneur Mihlali Ndamase launched her Beauty Services platform called Malakyt recently. The content creator took to Instagram to announce the launch of her new business, which she is the CEO of. Her business venture was launched on the 15th of October.
The platform was created with the main aim of helping people find beauticians who are local to them quickly. It encompasses all people in the beauty industry, from hairdressers, barbers, make-up artists and beauty salons. Convenience to the public is what the brand wants to give. The platform has a high probability of success because people always look for reliable and trusted beauticians, especially if they are in a new town.

Mihlali is not new to the business. She has launched a business for herself before as a make-up artist that is thriving. She even teaches people how to do their make-up on her social media accounts. Big brands like Revlon have partnered with her.

She launched herself in the industry by creating content for her Youtube channel for four years before starting her freelance make-up services. Her minimum charge is R2 500. In July, she made headlines when she revealed that she had received her most giant cheque of R1million as a content creator. She went on to say that she did not remember what she spent it on when she was a guest on Casper Nyovest’s Braai Show.
She hopes that her platform will help create jobs for fellow black women in the beauty industry in these challenging times when the pandemic has left a massive strain on the economy. Many people once laughed at her for entering the beauty industry, saying that it doesn’t pay. Now she is one of the most paid users on Instagram because she is paid $1800 per post.
Mihlali made it to Forbes Africa‘s 30 under 30 list. Inspiration for her comes from popular Youtubers like Nikki Tutorials, Aaliyah Jay and Nicole Guerrero.
