Rags to Riches: Skeem Saam actor Kwaito’s expensive lifestyle, Net Worth revealed
Actor and businessman Clement Maosa plays the role of Zamokuhle “Kwaito” Seakamela on Skeem Saam. Apart from his Skeem Saam onscreen Kwaito character, Clement is a qualified lawyer by profession. Born and bred in the dry and dusty village of Ga-Rammutla in Polokwane, Limpopo, all Kwaito wanted to be was a soldier. He fell in love with acting and creative arts during high school before enrolling at the University of Limpopo to study for a Law degree.
Studying law degree wasn’t his plan
When I was in metric, I told my parents that I wanted to be an actor; I wanted to enrol at Wits or UCT to study Film and Production. They refused and said, you will be a Lawyer or Doctor; otherwise, we will not pay for your school fees, so I enrolled to study Law at the University of Limpopo. My law degree helps negotiate contracts and help others; I want to open a firm to assist artists in understanding contracts.
Soon when I get my admission as an Advocate, I want to major in entertainment law and represent artists and their rights, particularly musicians. Entertainers play a vital role in our society but they are often neglected, exploited and not valued
Clement enjoyed a stint with local community radio in Limpopo before bagging the Skeem Saam role. He revealed that he passed the audition after seeing an advert on Facebook.
‘I saw a call for auditions advert on Mzansi Fo Sho Facebook account, I borrowed money to travel from Limpopo for auditions, and fortunately, I passed.”
Born on the 9th of May 1988, Maosa is a father to son Bokang Maosa and lives with the tragedy of losing his parents Tlou & Mosima Maosa, to witchcraft at a tender age. Clement was orphaned at a tender age and was raised by his grandmother, whom he always praised the job well done of raising such a fine young man.
Kwaito mastered the art of turning lemons into lemonade; ever since his television breakthrough, Clement Maosa never looked back. What’s fame without money to show off? Clement mastered the art of escaping poverty through financial independence and wealth creation. From the humble villages of Limpopo, he is now a force to reckon with businesses in Johannesburg and Agriculture interests back home.
