UZALO: Pastor Mbatha takes justice for Nosipho in his own hands
The Njeza and Nosipho’s Gender-Based Violence storyline is set to end on Uzalo but will Nosipho get the deserved justice? Despite being down and out after a public humiliation, self-appointed Archbishop TD Jakes’ right-hand man Bishop Mbatha takes matters into his hands, serving street justice for Nosipho.
The toxic Nosipho and Njeza relationship took the extreme violent phase as fans saw Nosipho being chased around, dragged and beaten by Njeza on the streets of KwaMashu.
Violence against defenceless Nosipho had spectators whose main aim was to pull out their cellphones and capture the moment for social media clout. Able-bodied men and women watched as Nosipho succumbed in the violent hands of Njeza; MaMlambo saved the day by calling the police to the crime scene.
After exchanging blows with the police, Officer Lily Dongwe left with no choice had to pull out a gun and shoot her brother in the stomach, a decision she will never regret.

While Njeza was lying helpless, opportunists like Pastor Mbatha, who is always alert to grab headlines, arrived on the scene to serve justice for poor Nosipho.
What did South Africans learn from the Uzalo GBV storyline?
Uzalo producers Stained Glass Productions took it to their storyline to address and educate their 9 million followers on the Gender-Based Violence pandemic.
Several lessons can be learned from the story, including never giving abusers another chance because it will end up in death. No matter how vulnerable they look and how sorry they sound, abusers will remain the same until they get professional help. Always keep necessary self-defence tools if you suspect any unusual behaviour from your spouse or stranger. Women and children are often abused by those close to them, the men they trusted with their safety, and parents listen to what the children say and do not say; there is a message in silence.
Is Njeza dead? What’s going to happen to him?
Njeza is not dead, he is still on Uzalo, and relevant to the storyline, he was shot in the stomach, and the bullet missed any vital organs. He will survive and face the wrath of the law; and set to face jail time, a lesson Uzalo wishes to convey to the masses.
