Actress and musician Ntando Duma and her four-year daughter Sbahle Mzizi attended and slay at the first edition ceremony of the South African Amapiano Awards Ceremony held at Sandon Convention Center on 23 October 2021.
The first edition of Amapiano Awards was created by the Amapiano Governing Body, an organization made up of industry professionals and stakeholders whose main aim is to reward notable achievers within the genre. There were twenty-one categories, and each winner walked away with prize money of R10 000. A
Amongst the attendees was one of the youngest influencers in South Africa, Sibahle Mzizi. Sbahle is the daughter of Ntando Duma and Dj Junior De Rocka; she rose to fame before birth. By the time she escaped her mother’s womb, she had already amassed over 50 000 Instagram followers. The Awards were broadcasted on SABC 1, and among the Awards recipients were the late Killer Kau and Mpura, who perished in a car accident on 9 August 2021. Dj Durban Gogo was among the night winners; she walked away with the Most Viral Social Media Song of The Year Award.
