African politics will never seize to amaze people. Is there even democracy in Africa? Many ask after seeing the video that is circulating on social media. In this video a CNN reporter is threatened on TV and the world is shocked after witnessing this.
In the video, the reporter who is from Kenya asks a government official if they are being fair and free in their dealings after the government official had said something otherwise. Instead of defending his decision the government official from Uganda congratulates the reporter on landing a role on CNN and wearing a suit almost as good the government official.
After that the official then tells the reporter to remember where he comes from in a threatening way. The audacity to say that on TV which can be watched by billions of viewers in the world shows some level of dictatorship in Africa that needs to be solved. He goes on to say that he needs to be addressed as a government official since government officials from Uganda should not be asked such questions.

This video left many wondering if some countries in Africa will ever be free. Despite the United States of America passing bill protecting the rights of journalists some countries seem not to care and will continue to rule with iron fists.
Many leaders in Africa have a tendency of not wanting to let go after they taste power. As a result they tend to force citizens and threaten citizens to love them or else suffer. We have many similar scenarios and they are well known all over the world. It hurts that the reason why many African countries suffer economically is because their governments are involved in some serious corruption allegations. This leaves the question, Will Africa ever be Free?
