It has been reported that protesters are still causing havoc in South Africa. All the violence and destruction in not the answer but authorities need to resolve pressing issues and address all matters. A picture of a truck on fire is circulating on social media.
Many people cannot believe the protests are still going on. The Police and soldiers have been working hard to retrieve the looted goods during these past weeks. Although the relevant authorities have tried to mention all problems encountered together with the violence and looting, many black people in the country feel the Phoenix massacre is being ignored.
The EFF leader Julius Malema mentioned about the massacre during his address when his political party was celebrating eight years since being formed. During the address he warned that if nothing is done and guns are taken from Indian people in Phoenix then the President and his team would have failed black people in South Africa.

On social media people are still talking about the tragedies that happened in Phoenix. Many black people have promised to revenge if nothing is done about this. Cases of racial profiling were reported and videos showing this circulated on WhatsApp and other platforms. As a result the Minister of Police Bheki Cele admitted that indeed there was racial profiling.
However, this is not the only thing that happened in South Africa. Videos of the community shooting at black people also circulated. More devastating cases were reported. This includes one of a mother who was burnt to death leaving a toddler behind. Some cases of black people burnt to death and beyond recognition in their vehicles were also reported.
At the ends of the day problems need to be resolved. Protests are ongoing because something is not well. Maybe it is about the Phoenix massacre or not but destruction of property hurts our economy.
