Just In: King Mswati III alleged to have fled Eswatini after pro-democracy protests
Thousands of people have taken to social media after reports that King Mswati III of Eswatini has fled the kingdom after pro-democracy protests turned into chaos.
There are unconfirmed reports that protesters went on the rampage and set fire to several shops in Matsapha. Several people have also been injured during the protests.
However in the mix of things the country is yet to give an official statement to these rumours. The news of the alleged exit was also confirmed by SABC News. As of now, the whereabouts of the king is unknown.
