Busta 929 addresses statutory rape allegations after viral video with a 14-year-old
Well, Busta 929 has seen himself trending for the wrong reasons. The star singer is in hot soup after taking a 14-year to his apartment for two days.
However, Busta 929 defends himself in an official statement shared on Thursday afternoon, as regards the viral video that suggests he took advantage of a teenager.
In the early hours of Thursday, a recorded Instagram Live video surfaced on social media, and the Amapiano star was seen with some girls, including a 14-year-old lady rocking a towel.
The Instagram live video sparked debate and Mzansi was disappointed with the DJ. Also of late DJ’s have seen themselves in trouble because of young girls.
The incident barely comes a few months after DJ Maphorisa was also embroiled in a nasty statutory rape allegation.

The viral video flooded social media and Mzansi didn’t spare Busta. Mzansi weighed into the matter with its two cents. South Africans cancelled the DJ, believing he took advantage of her.
However, in the statement shared on Twitter, Busta said he and his team picked up the talented 14-year-old girl on their way back home after a show.
According to the DJ, the girl was with him, his girlfriend and the manager in his home studio recording songs for 2 days. The girl had shown interest to work with him, and he obliged.
He further revealed that the girl was on a towel because she just had her bath. However, he apologises for not ensuring that the girls informed their parents about their whereabouts before taking them to his house.
However little is known about the girl’s side of the story. Her family is yet to issue out a statement in regards to the matter. As of now, no official docket has been opened or a rape case opened against Busta.
