Multi-award-winning Hollyhood actress Nondumiso Tembe pays tribute to her daughter Nelli
Seasoned star actress and Multi-award-winning Hollyhood actress Nondumiso Tembe recently took it to social media to pour out her grief in the wake of her daughter’s death. Nondumiso Tembe has finally spoken out after her only daughter’s sudden death on Sunday.
Her daughter Anele ‘Nellie’ Tembe committed suicide after she jumped off 15 storey Cape Town hotel on Sunday morning. Her death left Mzansi divided and little is known as to what had triggered her to commit suicide.
However, rumour has it that the 22-year-old was suffering from depression. It was also established that sometime last year she once tried to commit suicide. Nellie (22) was engaged to South Africa’s hip hop muso AKA and he had just come from paying lobola for her.

Just after the tragic incident, both Nellie and AKA’s families released a joint statement expressing their shock. The two families also indicated that they needed the much-needed privacy as they go through these trying times.
“We are still in shock and are dealing with our emotions, as she was an exceptional and gifted young woman, with so much life ahead of her. She had a sweet nature about her and was always nurturing to those around her. Her fiancé, Kiernan Forbes, is currently inconsolable and is surrounded by family and closest friends. At this hour of our grief, we humbly request that our families be given privacy and time to heal,” they wrote.
However, in the wake of the joint families statement, Nelli’s mother took it to Twitter to reflect her love and grief as she mourns her daughter. She also thanked all who had expressed support and comfort for her and her family.

We will hold you in our hearts forever.

Nondumiso Tembe is best known for her work in projects like HBO’s True Blood and the History Channel’s Six. Details in regards to her funeral are yet to be advised. The police have since launched their investigations and are yet to give a full detailed report.
