Breaking: Chiefs appoint Loafing Clinton Larsen as new coach
Sad news coming from the Chiefs is that camp interim coach Julius Dude has been shown the exit door by Bizana Pondo Chiefs after a poor run of form. In a bid to save their GladAfrica Championship status, the newbies Pondo Chiefs have appointed Clinton Larsen as head coach.
The Eastern Cape outfit has been having a poor run of form and are poised for relegation. In a bid to serve their Championship they have enquired for servers of football Gaffer Larsen.
Dube who has been leading the lads for almost a month as a caretaker had suffered some humiliating defeats. The outgoing Dube took over from Tshepo Motsoeneng who promoted the club from ABC Mostepe in February.
However, taking it to social media the official club site indicated that the appointment of the Gaffer was the much-needed change for good results.
“The appointment of Larsen comes at the crucial time where the team intent to secure a place in the Championship. We can’t afford to be relegated and we hope the new seasoned coach will bring about good results,” reads the club statement.

Prior to his new appointment, the Gaffer had no club under his charge. Larsen has been without a job since his stint with Polokwane City in September last year.
However, Pondo Chiefs are at the bottom of the log with just 14 points from 18 games. The club believes that Larsen is the man who can salvage the situation and help the club survive the relegation scare.
Larsen made all sorts of headlines after he parted ways with Polokwane City. The well-travelled manager left his job after they failed to reach a concrete agreement in regards to coach packages.
According to Larsen, the club bosses wanted to adjust his contract but the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement and therefore decided to end their relationship.
His fallout saw him not going down to the NFD with Rise and Shine boys. In last year’s campaign, he was relegated for the DSTV Championship after finishing 16th on the PSL standings.
Larsen joined Polokwane City in December 2019, taking over from Zaltko Krmpotic who was fired five months into the job.
to moving to Polokwane, Larsen was not attached to any team for three months after being sacked by Chippa United in September 2019. Well, it seems as the gaffer has found a new home. It has been established that Clinton Larsen has already started training with the squad.
