Madzibaba steals US$ 6 000 from client during prayer
A man from Mvuma had his US$ 6 00 stolen by a prophet. The prophet advised Mr Joseph Muchakata was advised to bring his money to the shrine because there were evil spirits after it. Being a loyal servant Muchakata went with the money so that it could be prayed for.
The money then mysteriously disappeared at the Holy place. Patrick Musasa convinced his client Joseph to bring all his money to the shrine. He said the prayers at the shrine would ensure that the money was safe.
What Joseph Muchakata did not know is that Prophet Musasa, and his co-accussed Madzibaba Shadrack Gwatiringa, Alex Muzondiwa, Francis Makopa and Conrad Ngamera had connived and plotted to steal the money.
After the prayers and on his way home, Joseph realised that he no longer had his money. He tried to find out what had happened from Musasa and his colleagues but nothing was found. Joseph then reported his story to the Police.

The time the Police arrested the con men, Musasa had already bought a truck, groceries and other items. The court sentenced Musasa to thirty months in prison. Constance Mutandwa presiding over the case then removed six months on condition that Musasa never commits similar crime in the next five years.
The State says that on 1 February, 2021 at 8.30 pm Joseph Muchakata and Musasa with his other counterparts except for Shadreck Gwatiringa went for a night prayer at Runyararo shrine in Denhere village. Joseph Muchakata had US$6 000which he had been advised to bring to the shrine since evil spirits wanted to take it away from him.
They finished their prayer session the next morning at 6am and Muchakata gave the four accused a lift to Mangoma Business Centre and they went to their respective homes.
At times we blame the so-called prophets but we are the ones to blames for such cases. People of Zimbabwe should learn to demarcate cons and false prophets from the actual men of God.
