SANDF members kill Alexandra man
SANDF members have been accused of killing 40 year old Alexandra man. A 40-year-old man from Alexandra, north of Johannesburg, has died after being assaulted allegedly by members of the South Africa National Defence Forces yesterday.
The man named Collins Khoza was reported to have been beaten to death by SANDF members patrolling in Alexandra. The organisation issued a stern warning to its members directing them to work within the confines of the law when enforcing the lockdown.
According to witnesses and family members, Khoza was having a beer in the company of a friend Thabiso Muvhango in his yard when members of the SANDF visited his house. The army grouping of three accused the pair of violating lockdown rules and they raided Muvhango’s home upon noticing there was a camp chair and a cup with alcohol. They are reported to have severely beaten both men with Khoza failing to recover from the assault.
