Rockville viewers will be excited to know that one of the Fergusons’ all time favourite productions will be returning to our screens.
Rockville is set to make a comeback this year as confirmed by entertainment reporter, Phil Mphela. The Fergusons are currently filming the show. The film was produced the Fergusons with Pathutshedzo Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon as the writers. It was one of the Fergusons’ earliest victories; it ran for 4 seasons before being cancelled in 2016.
The story was star studded with both Connie and Shona Ferguson featuring. Brenda Ngxoli, Enhle Mbali, Lehasa Moloi, Boity Thulo, Sello Maake Ka-Ncube, Trevor Gumbi, Terry Pheto, Hlomla Dandala and Thembsie Matue among other actors were members of the cast. While some members of the old cast will be returning, viewers can expect new faces on the soapie as well. The story follows the feud between the Mabasos, who are a working class family and the Bogatsus, a middle class family. The series also shone the spotlight on JB played by Shona Ferguson and Lindi Mabaso’s (played by Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa) love story.

Viewers might expect Enhle Mbali back to the series as her stint with Isibaya as Sizakele is coming to an end with the soapie being cancelled. Enhle Mbali took to her socials to celebrate the show, “I joined on later in its conception but I learnt so much , what a crazy ride.❤️❤️❤️ @O_GrandJo ( Bomb production) thanks for the lessons”. Fans will be excited to have her back on their screens with the upcoming Rockville season.
