1Magic viewers are set to enjoy a new drama filled show, Lingashoni that will premier on the 22nd of March at 19.30. The show will star Patrick Mofokeng, Thuli Thabethe and Thato Molamu.
The series, Lingashoni, is centered around Patrick Mofokeng who plays Mandla Cele, a tenderpreneur. Mandla loses his memory after surviving an attempted murder after witnessing the murder of the Mayor. Mandla is found by Seipati Moeketsi who is played by Liteboho Molise, a farmworker with two children. The pair wed and Mandla creates a new life for himself until 10 years later he starts getting flashbacks of who he really is.
Upon returning to Bassonia, he finds his wife Puleng, played by Thuli Thabethe has since moved on with Mandla’s iceboy Papi Zulu who is played by Thato Molamu.

Stained Glass TV’s Zodwa Zuma also highlighted the major themes for the telenovela.
“Through this telenovela, we wanted to tell a story that reveals the lived experiences of most South Africans. The themes of this telenovela will include family drama, love, betrayal, scandalous affairs and crime.”

The telenovela is a Stained Glass TV production. Stained Glass has produced some of Mzansi’s favourite shows that include Ifalakhe, eHostela and now Lingashoni seeks to join the production company’s list of successes.
The cast is star studded with some of Mzansi’s finest talent. Patrick Mofokeng who plays Mlungisi Ngema on Scandal takes center stage. Thuli Thabethe played Beauty Nyandeni on the now cancelled Isibaya. Liteboho Molise played Teboho Mukwevho on SABC 2’s Muvhango. While Thato Molamu will always be remembered for his role as Nicholas Nomvete on Generations.
