When it comes to landing endorsements, Costa Titch is undoubtedly Mzansi’s most sort after hip hop artist. The year 2020 was an incredible year for Costa Titch who ascended from uprising trap star, to game changer. His catchy dance moves and superb routines have definitely catapulted him to new grounds. Along the way, he has attracted a lot of investments.
Costa Titch Endorsements
Oros
Costa Titch landed a R2 Million deal with South African beverage manufacturer, Oros in 2020. It is one of the most popular and most affordable beverages in South Africa. The partnership stretches up to the end of 2021. Costa is grateful for this endorsement which opened doors to others that keep pouring.
Converse
The Converse deal is perhaps Costa Titch’s biggest endorsement so far. A majority of South Africans prefer Converse shoes to any other. Converse came into the game and assassinated Dickies, which had been the shoe giant before 2008. Finer details about this deal have been concealed, but It’s clear Costa Titch will reap so much from the lucrative deal.
AXE
In 2021, Costa Titch secured a deal with AXE, the most popular deodorant manufacturer in Mzansi. Although Costa Titch is currently one of the hottest artists in South Africa, his deal with AXE elevates him to new heights.
Russian Bear
Costa Titch has also worked with the vodka maker, Russian Bear. They partnered with him on several projects throughout 2020. He was the main artist when they launched the Gunna limited edition vodka.
Costa Titch is flying high after dropping his debut album ‘Made in Africa’. The album was released on the 5th of November 2020. Shortly after dropping his album, he won two SA hip hop awards. One for the remix of the year and best collabo.
Costa Titch Controversy
Shortly after the release of his debut album, Made in Africa, Costa Titch was dragged by tweeps who accused him of cultural appropriation. He is white, but people were baffled to hear him rap in vernacular. Tweets accused him of copying cultures just to make his music much appealing. Many might not know, Costa Titch speaks Swati fluently and also can speak much of Zulu. He, however, admitted that sometimes his gang translates some songs for him. Costa went on to admit that at times he could write a song with assistance from Google translate. Casper Nyovest and Stogie T were amongst the top artists who stood by Costa Titch and agreed that to appeal to Mzansi, one must sing in a local language or even mix languages.
