The great migration to The Estate has begun what with Isibaya due to come to an end later on in the year. Not only Isibaya, but actors from a lot of Mzansi’s soapies. A good portion of actors from Isibaya have made alternative employment arrangements with the upcoming Clive Morris show that will air on SABC 3.
Isibaya stars that are moving to The Estate
- Aubrey Poo who plays Fenyang on Isibaya: The good looking lawyer who has stolen not only Maria’s heart, played by Ayanda Borotho, but the whole of Mzansi will continue his acting career with The Estate playing Castro Kamanga. Aubrey Poo has been quite the love soapie shifter, from Isidingo, to Isibaya and now on The Estate.
- Lillian Nyandeni/Ngwenya played by Sebezo will also be gracing our screens on The Estate as Goniwe Phakathwayo. While we will miss her and her other half, we are sure we will love her in The Estate. A living legend.
- Sdumo Mtshali is moving from playing Sibusiso Ndlovu on Isibaya to Lord Knows Who on the The Estate. One thing is for sure, none of that isithembu business over here!
- Clementine Mosimane who had her short stint on Isibaya as Duma’s mother will be joining The Estate alongside some of her Isibaya costars.
It’s definitely safe to call The Estate an Isibaya reunion! The soapie will also be an Isidingo reunion for Aubrey Poo, Don Mlangeni and Jo-anne Reyneke who will play Lwandle on The Estate. The telenovela begins in April and will serve as a replacement for Isidingo.
While Isibaya will be seeing it’s end, to be replaced by Diepsloot, it’s a cheer to note that some of our favourites will still grace our screens on a different program. Little comfort in that. The wait for The Estate is officially on!
