Yusuf Bunting was born Potchefstroom to the Bunting family. Growing up, he and his brother were football fanatics, and his family encouraged the boys’ pursuits of soccer, which led to the brothers pursuing soccer professionally.

CAREER
Despite his untimely departure from Amakhosi, Bunting has a promising career and a strong background in soccer. He had crowned the top goal scorer of the tournament when he played in the Gothia Cup in Sweden, and at the time, he was 15 years old. He has also played in the SAB regional tournament, where he was also a top goal scorer, with three hattricks and a player of the tournament award.
A week later, he signed his first professional contract with Kaizer Chiefs in 2017. In his first pre-season debut tournament with Kaizer Chiefs first team, he landed a goal after just ten minutes in play. Kaizer Chiefs then loaned him to Highlands Park.
